A family of four providing services for your four-legged family members!
BARK, I’m Amber Laudenslager Fry, owner and operator of Back Road Boarding, Kountry Kuts, Lauden Labs, Rhonda’s Rottweilers, Murray’s Cream of Crop Goldens, and Murray’s Mountains. Recently married in 2023, my husband’s business, Fry Farms, is also located on the property.
Our names stem from my family roots: located on “Back Road” in the “Kountry”, my mother “Rhonda”, my father “Murray”, my maiden name “Lauden”slager, and our last name “Fry”.
My husband, Colynn, and I live on premises with our 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs, 2 English Cream Golden Retrievers, 1 Golden Retriever, 2 Rottweilers, 1 Black Lab, 5 Red Fox Labs, 4 Silver Labs, 1 Chocolate Lab, and our resident cats, Charlie and Larry. We are also expecting an addition to our human family this year!
Although Murray and Rhonda Laudenslager – mother and father of owner and operator Amber, no longer reside at Back Road Boarding they are always sniffing around and a bark away when help is needed!
After growing up in Selinsgrove, PA and spending 3 years on the road, Colynn moved to my family farm in Halifax, PA in 2022 and began Fry Farms. In addition to being a dog dad, he is enjoying his self-employment in farming, trucking, and harvesting. We’re hoping Fry Farms is the start to our own family farm and the first generation of many!
